Dr. A. D. Alhaidari is an associate professor of
physics who retired his academic career in 2006. He
obtained his PhD in 1987 from the University of
California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
His early work until 1999 was in mathematical
physics and elementary particles & fields with
modest contributions in conformal field theory.
Since 2000, he switched interest to relativistic
quantum theory and algebraic scattering. He taught
undergraduate physics at UCLA and King Fahd
University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM),
Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in addition to some graduate
courses in the latter.
He has partial contributions to the supervision of
Master theses. On the other hand, his contribution
as a reviewer for many reputable physics journals is
significant.
He worked as the lead editor for four volumes of
collected contributions in various fields of
physics.
He was awarded the “Excellence in
Research” at KFUPM in 2004 and received the
“Al-Marai Distinguished Scientist Award” in 2006.
Dr. Alhaidari is the founder of the "Saudi Center
for Theoretical Physics". His journal publication
record includes more than 70 refereed articles. He
is a member of various local and international
physics societies and organizations. Alhaidari’s
professional carrier, which extends over three
decades, encompasses a wide spectrum of experience
in science and technology. This includes technical
and executive management, project leadership, team
coordination, and public service. The scope of these
activities covers small to mega projects in research
and development, manufacturing as well as academia.
